Kaye Garms’s oral history traces her life from an Oklahoma farm to Wayland Baptist, Texas, and Colorado, centered on basketball, teaching, partnership, and outdoor life. She discusses growing up the youngest of seven, farm work, high school basketball, earning a college scholarship, playing for the Wayland Flying Queens, traveling to the Soviet Union with a U.S. women’s basketball team, and becoming an educator and coach.
